Songbook!
Songbook debuted April 12, 2026, in the beautiful Dunsmore Room of Crooners Supper Club. The warm atmosphere and appreciative crowd made it a tremendous success. We’re looking forward to playing this venue again in the future.
This trio of Pete James Johnson, myself, and Jeremy Boettcher had its conception after a performance at the Danish American Center last summer. The three of us had an immediate connection that was particularly evident when playing the standard, It Had To Be You.
As Songbook we get to highlight this collaboration and share our own interpretations of the incredible American Songbook/Jazz standards repertoire.
We’ll continue to showcase a different vocalist each show. This show featured the genre-defying musical force of nature Aby Wolf, who brought her stunning artistic range to renditions of Michel Legrand, Duke Ellington, Harold Arlen, and Richard Rogers, along with a surprise Aby original called “Alone” that just felt so right to medley with Ellington’s “Solitude”.
